By Karen Chen, Emily Jan, Adam Sege & Priyanka Tilve | May 20th, 2012

After being separated for more than a week, American Nicole Peba tries to visit her Nigerian husband, Eugene, at the detention center in Kenosha, WI, where he is being held pending deportation.

[Follow Peba's situation in Congressional plea for Peba stymied, An American Dream: permission pending and Eugene Peba: A Nigerian’s fight for survival and protection, listen to an interview with him on WBEZ, and read the Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Tribune accounts of his arrest. Northwestern University has also made its community aware of the story in Medill's Immigrant Connect Story Back in the News.]
